Sadly, not many people realize that Montana has some of the best cities for raising a family. For that reason, we decided to talk about the best cities in Montana to raise a family and to change peoples’ opinions about that.

Columbus

Columbus is the first city on our list for many reasons. It is very small but it has all the things you want a family city to have. Columbus is the home to one of the best high schools in the state – Columbus High School. It is safe because it is so small. The best part about it is that Columbus is pretty cheap. Home prices are not something you will have to worry about too much if you decide to move to Columbus and start a family. It has all the amenities you need and it’s very family-friendly. Its size doesn’t mean this city is boring. It’s actually quite stimulating. There are plenty of activities you and your family will enjoy. As relocation doesn’t have to be hard, you can easily move to this lovely town whenever you desire.

Sidney

This lovely city will win your heart as soon as you see it. This city is very relaxing and living here will be very refreshing for you.  Sidney is a major retail center in the region and many people come here for work. If you are thinking about moving with a family for work, moving to Sidney won’t be a mistake. But there are plenty of recreational opportunities here too. An 18-hole golf course and an Olympic-size swimming pool are just two of them. There is also an indoor hockey arena. It is the only one of its kind in the eastern half of the state.

Bigfork

If you are someone who likes outdoor activities, Bigfork is the city for you. Here you can find the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi – Flathead Lake. Having a lake nearby is an amazing thing as it opens up plenty of recreational opportunities. This is the perfect place to boat, fish and to have family picnics. According to the area Chamber of Commerce, Bigfork is “One of the 100 Best Small Arts Towns in the West”. Here you can find beautiful galleries where you will be able to see artworks of many small artists from around the state. For these reasons, people organize their interstate relocation and move to Bigfork to start a family.

Bozeman

The last city we are going to mention, but certainly not least is Bozeman. It is a city that has seen tremendous growth in the last several years. The population of Bozeman has grown by 35 percent over the last decade and it just keeps growing as more and more people are moving there to start their families. Montana State University is located in this town, meaning your children won’t have to leave town if they don’t want to.
